Chalk up another accolade for the Giotto by Polito!
We are thrilled to announce that the Giotto by Polito has received a Good Design Award in the Product Design category at the 2023 Australian Good Design Awards. The announcement was made on September 8 at a gala event attended by over 1,000 guests from the design and architecture community.
The Good Design Awards Jury praised the Giotto, calling it a “Great product with a striking, ‘Italian’ character to it. Not only is it an incredible work of design, it seems to do the job well, and that’s what matters most. Well done.”
What sets the Giotto apart is not only its design but its versatility and striking aesthetics. Available in a range of captivating colours, it effortlessly complements various indoor and outdoor aesthetics, from rustic and traditional to modern and industrial chic.
The Australian Good Design Awards has a history dating back to 1958 and is the country’s oldest and most prestigious international awards program for design and innovation. The 2023 Awards attracted entries from around the world, evaluated by a panel of more than 70 Australian and international jurors, including designers, engineers, architects, and thought leaders.
Dr. Brandon Gien, CEO of Good Design Australia and Chair of the Australian Good Design Awards, said “To be recognised with an Australian Good Design Award tells the world this project not only represents design excellence, but it also surpasses the criteria for design innovation and design impact. The Good Design Award is an independent endorsement of professional design quality.
“Some of the Award-winning projects from this year’s Good Design Awards are truly ground-breaking. There are so many inspiring impact-led projects this year that have embraced the power of design as a problem-solving tool – their design stories deserve to be recognised and celebrated at the highest level.”
